Oregon Hill Home Improvement Council, Inc. (OHHIC), was founded in 1973 by William Byrd Community House.

OHHIC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Richmond's older neighborhoods by providing historic quality affordable housing, home repair, credit and housing education and supporting neighborhood businesses.

OHHIC takes pride in producing a quality housing product that respects its historic architectural heritage.

How can OHHIC Assist you?

OHHIC will inform you of the many advantages of owning your own home. OHHIC will assist you all the way through the process. Some of what OHHIC provides:

  • Credit & Homeowner Counseling
  • Finding the right project for you
  • Emergency Home Repair
  • Referrals to other agencies
  • Information on tax credit advantages and tax abatements
  • Neighborhood contacts
  • Pictures and tours of buildings available for purchase

OHHIC's goal is to make you feel welcomed and appreciated. We want you to become a connected, contributing member of our Richmond community.

Oregon Hill Home Improvement Council is a 501c3 organization committed to restoring Richmond's older downtown neighborhoods. Please join us in our revitalization efforts.
